Question 1 of 1
1. Question
Some key components of well-being include:
- Physical Health: Being physically healthy involves having good physical fitness, proper nutrition, and regular exercise. It also implies freedom from illness, pain, and discomfort.
- Mental Health: “Mental health IS wealth!” A crucial aspect of well-being, mental health includes emotional stability and coping with stress. Having strong mental health means feeling content, resilient, and having a positive outlook on life.
- Emotional Well-being: All humans experience a wide range of emotions, and it’s important to manage and express them in a healthy way. Being emotionally healthy requires high levels of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
- Social Well-being: Social connections, relationships, and a sense of belonging contribute to one’s well-being. Strong social support systems, communication skills, and a feeling of community are essential components.
- Spiritual Health: Being spiritually healthy requires a deep sense of purpose and a connection to something greater than ourselves. Religion and personal beliefs provide a framework for understanding the world and maintaining a moral compass that guides us in ethical decision-making.
- Intellectual Well-being: Engaging in new intellectual pursuits and creative endeavors can contribute to a sense of fulfillment and well-being. We are all lifelong learners!
- Rank each of the areas of well-being described above on a scale of 1-10 for how you feel at the current moment (1 =I feel very weak in this area, 10 = I feel very strong in this area).
- Then list these areas of well-being in order from strongest to weakest.
- For the area of well-being in which you feel the weakest, create one goal for yourself. What is one concrete step you can take this week to improve that area and improve your overall well-being?
