My name is Britny Rivera. I live in the Bronx and have an amazing 3 year old son. I attended college at Fairfield University where I earned my Bachelors in Psychology. I have been working in the education field since 2016 and I enjoy it very much. I always wanted to work in education because I believe that everyone, no matter what their background is or where they live, should receive the best education. I am a big believer that education is the great equalizer. The teacher who has had the biggest impact in my life is my middle school science teacher, Ms. Thayer. Ms. Thayer helped me to get into one of the best private high schools in the Westchester County area. She became my sponsor and helped pay for my books, supplies and anything else I needed for school. Ms. Thayer truly believed in me and I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for her.
