COURSE INTRODUCTION:

In this course, you will be introduced to the concepts of instructional design, the 24/7 success-driven education model, and the 24/7 instructional design framework.


In this course, you will watch videos, read articles, and review presentations on the Success Driven Education Model and the 24/7 Instructional Design Framework.  Also, you will take notes on the materials, complete assignments, answer research questions, participate in a group discussion forum, complete assessments, and create a teaching video on the materials.

COURSE SCENARIO:

Think of yourself in the following scenario as you complete the activities.

You are a newly hired 24/7 instructional design superstar who has been given an opportunity to create a curriculum for three clients, a small K-12 private school, a mid-size company,  and a community college. All three clients have some common requests regarding their instructional design needs: the curriculum created should be habit-based and situational, and the assignments should provide value to the learner and the stakeholder. 

The clients chose 24/7, based on its Success Driven Education model and the 24/7 Instructional Design Framework.  Your assignment is to complete the design process and create effective curricula for your clients using the various instructional design frameworks and authoring tools.


COURSE – INSTRUCTIONS:

You have multiple steps and resources to review and complete in this course. We recommend that you complete one step at a time. Do not rush your learning or to complete the assignment. Some of the information in the learning materials are new, and some of it is repetitious. The learning materials have been chosen to provide you different viewpoints on the same topics. We believe repetition brings mastery, but feel free to skip if need be.

About Instructor

Widlyne

Widlyne has been in the education field as a teacher and trainer for the last 14 years. She started in the middle school sector, and then taught elementary school for 7 years. Presently, for the last few years, she has been teaching English to adults privately and at an adult school. Widlyne is a certified teacher in the US and Canada. Widlyne has a BA in Theology with a minor in elementary education as well as a MA in Reading/Language Arts and is currently seeking her TESOL certificate from TESL Canada. Widlyne works tirelessly to support her students in all areas of their lives. She believes in the development of the whole individual and everyone at any age can learn and improve their lives.
