Module 1: Medication Basics

Please view Module 1 below. Once Module 1 has been viewed, complete the following assignments:

• Approximate time to complete Module 1 (excluding assignments): 25 minutes

• Step 1: View the video segment on Introduction to Medication Administration.
  • The short video segment is a supplement to Module 1 content and should assist in strengthening the understanding of guidelines for the administration of medication.
  • Please note: Although Colorado is referenced throughout the video segments, the content is applicable to the District.
• Step 2: Use Appendix B and the information from the videos to complete the Module-1 Assignment on page 15  in the training manual found below and in the materials section above.
  • Fill your answers directly on the assignment.
  • Scan or photograph (using a smartphone) the completed worksheet and then upload it as an attachment in Module 1a. 
    • Module Assignment 1: Administration of Medication
• Step 3: Complete the Module 1 Quiz and Pass with an 80% or more to advance to the next module.

• Step 4: Proceed to Module 1a, respectively, to upload your completed assignment. Remember, you will not be able to advance to the next module without completing the Module-1 Assignment.

• Step 5: Mark the unit complete by clicking the button below.  To ensure that you watch all of the videos in their entirety, complete the quiz, and submitted the assignment, you will not be able to advance until after 25 minutes have elapsed.
