Unit 1: Understanding Information - A Brief Introduction to the Research Process

Forum Description

Unit Introduction:

Information is everywhere. More than ever before, people have easy access to information from a plethora of sources: internet, television, radio, movies, music, social media, and more. Exposure to so much information is both good and bad. Being able to find and use so many resources is extremely empowering, but information varies in reliability and it can make academic research much more difficult. The content of this unit will provide a solution to "too much information" and introduce you to the tools required for effective research. Throughout the class, students will use each step of "The Research Process" to complete an academic research paper.
